At the end of September, both Malis in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap will host a special five-course wine dinner to celebrate a collection of Cambodian dishes given a special twist by our talented chefs and shown off to their best advantage with a careful selection of premium wines from the estates of the Compagnie Vinicole Baron Edmond de Rothschild and Domaines Barons de Rothschild.
The dinner will open with a fresh river lobster salad followed by an earthy soup of slowly cooked green papaya with small shrimps. Next up, a Khmer crab samlor is prepared with Cambodian Kroeung and coconut milk, which is then followed by a sweet, tender hunk of roasted Phnom Kulen Pig served with fried rice. The delicious journey will be polished off with a light and refreshing num ko pandan with coconut ice cream.
Representatives from IDD Wines in Phnom Penh will be on hand to explain some more about the wine pairings, their production, heritage and much more.
Malis in Phnom Penh hosts the first event on September 28, while Malis in Siem Reap takes up the mantle on the 29th. Tickets for both events are US$50+ per person.
We look forward to hearing from you!
