An Interview with Long Chansiyean, Malis Phnom Penh Guest Relations Officer

Can you tell us about yourself?

Hello my name is Long Chansiyean. I have four sisters, I’m the second daughter in my family.

Can you describe your current position?

Currently, I am work within Thalias Group as a Guest Relations Officer at Malis restaurant in Phnom Penh. I was recommended to know Thalias by a friend. They said it was a great place to work.

When I first started working at Malis Restaurant, I was a runner. When management saw my good performance and diligent work, I was rewarded with a promotion to my current role.

What does International Women’s Day represent to you?

International Women’s Day is very important for me as well as for all other women in the world. It highlights the fact that women can do the same as men.

Do you have any advice for a young woman who wants to start a similar career?

For the upcoming International Women’s Day, I would advise all women in the world to try their best to reach their goal without giving up.
