At Malis we take our Kuy Teav very seriously. That’s why our chefs take a lot of time to make unique broths for the soups we offer, so you know that your Pork Kuy Teav will sing with juicy pork flavours and our Kuy Teav Khor Kor carries all the depth of a rich, earthy beef broth. And because we take such care, we don’t need to artificially inflate the flavours with MSG. In fact, in our view, adding MSG does nothing more for any dish than make it taste of MSG so there is no point in adding anything else, or taking the time to make it perfect. Making things as perfect as we can is one of the things that gives us joy. Witnessing the relish with which our guests devour our Kuy Teav is another.

We have eight different possibilities on our Kuy Teav Breakfast Menu, including our signature Kuy Teav Malis, brimming with ground pork, sweet, fat shrimp, rice noodles and a fabulous pork broth. Kuy Teav Khor Kor is a wonder of rich, sweet flavours, with a hint of star anise highlighting the deep, deep flavours of beef slowly cooked with ginger and tomatoes. For something a little lighter and brighter, try the Kuy Teav Troeung Samut (Seafood Noodle Soup) with a fabulous seafood broth enlivened with lemongrass and shallots, completed by noodles and generous shrimp.
